Registered Massage Therapy

Massage therapy uses a scientific manipulation of soft tissues in the body in order to normalize them. It involves using manual techniques that include applying fixed or movable pressure, stretching, and causing movement of the body. It serves various purposes, such as promoting the relaxation of the body or by enhancing a person's overall health and well-being.

From a rehabilitative perspective, massage therapy is extremely useful in relieving pain and tension that could result from an injury or specific health condition. It can also improve previously limited movements and deformities of the posture by manipulating any dysfunctional soft tissues and/or joints. It is often used simultaneously to physiotherapy and chiropractic care, especially within in a clinical rehabilitation setting, so that one can restore their functional independence.
