Chiropody, or podiatry, deals with issues regarding your feet. It looks at the management and prevention of diseases and disorders of the foot, which follow a comprehensive assessment with a trained professional. We will assess the patient's needs and give treatment in regards to managing chronic and/or acute conditions of the foot and lower limb functions.
You do not need a medical referral to visit one of our chiropodists as they are well-versed in immunology, histology, radiology, lab diagnostics, pharmacology, dermatology biomechanics, sports medicine and paediatrics. They are able to create treatment plans that are well-rounded and may include steroid injections, custom food orthotics/devices, orthotic shoes and prescription medication.
The primary goal for a Chiropodist or podiatrist is to maintain and improve mobility for a patient, to reduce or eliminate foot pain, provide the client with education regarding their specific healthcare issue and thus, improve one's overall quality of life. We specialize in the following areas:
