Clinical Psychology looks at the relationship between your body and your mind, and how this relationship influences you overall health and well-being. We look at a variety of factors, be it biological, psychological, or social and understand how they can affect one's health and illness.
Our psychologists conduct psychometric assessments, which then gives us information about one's neuropsychological difficulties, personality type, and memory difficulties. To address various psychological problems, we use a combination of psychotherapy, cognitive behaviour therapy and behaviour therapy. Some of these possible diagnoses are post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic pain, life adjustment problems (ex. After a car accident or retirement), anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. We generally recommend 8-10 sessions for most types of therapy.
